What is a Home Fellowship?

Home Fellowships are small groups of believers that meet regularly in the home of one of the members for prayer and Bible study. The major focus is on developing true Christian discipleship, building relationships, and studying the Bible.

Acts 2:42 is the scriptural basis and guide for all the Home Fellowships at CCSWM:
And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. — Acts 2:42 NKJV

Why do I need a Home Fellowship?

Sunday mornings are ideal for worship and hearing God's word preached, and the ideal compliment to that is the experience of discussing God's word in a small group setting. The purpose of the Home Fellowships at CCSWM is twofold:

  1. To provide an environment where God's word can be studied in detail and we can gain new insights into God's word through personal interaction with others
  2. To connect with other believers, build relationships and fellowship.

What happens in a Home Fellowship?

Each Home Fellowship is different, but a sample schedule might be: worship, Bible study, prayer, and refreshments/discussion. While the precise schedule varies from group to group, these are the typical characteristics of a home fellowship. The intimate, casual setting is ideal for making real, lasting friendships with other believers. Home Fellowships are a place to ask questions, share burdens and triumphs, to learn and grow in spiritual gifts, and to learn to love God and each other.
